Thing #3
In my future classroom or teacher education program I might use a blog to reflect on my experiences as a teacher and described what worked and what did not work in the classroom. It would be a good place to share my experience with other inexperiences teachers, as well as experienced ones. I think it would also help me establish the way I want to run my classroom and how to handle different situations. I can use a blog to gain insight and advise from other teachers and as I gain my own share it with others. Also, a blog will allow me to communicate with parents and post imporant information about the class. There are more benifits to blogging than I realized before looking at EduBlog Insights on the web. I can see myself really getting into the world of blogging.

I think that using a blog would be great to use to reflect on experiences as well. It would especially be great if veteran teachers would follow you on your blog and offer support and suggestions. I am sure as a new teacher we will have lots of questions. This would be a great place to ask questions and get suggestions from others. This way teachers cans read and respond to blogs at their leisure. I have never blogged before, but I think I am going to like this and will use it when I am a teacher. Marianne
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I never even thought to use a blog to reflect on personal experiences as a teacher. That's a really good idea, and would be very beneficial to you and to other teachers. It would be interesting to see what other teacher would have to say about situations that occurred in their classrooms and how they handled them. That way you can learn from their mistakes, learn a new way of teaching and just make adjustments to what they did. Great ideas! I have never blogged on the educational level (just personal blabber) but I think I can also see myself getting more into this.
ReplyDeleteI agree a blog is a great way for communication from the teacher and parent. It is also a great to look up other teacher's blogs to understand what they are doing in their classes.
